1. Easy A (2010) IMDb: 7.7/10 Metascore: 76/100
Easy A is a 2010 American teen comedy-drama film directed by Will Gluck, written by Bert V. Royal, and starring Emma Stone. The film tells the story of Olive Penderghast (Stone), a high school student who starts to spread rumors about herself being a sexually promiscuous person after she loses her virginity to a college guy. As more and more people start to believe her, Olive finds herself in an ever-growing web of lies.
While Easy A isn’t as good as LOL, both movies are about a high school student that deals with rumors and lies that are spread about them. Easy A is funnier than LOL, but I definitely recommend watching both movies if you’re into this genre.

Juno is a 2007 American comedy-drama film directed by Jason Reitman and written by Diablo Cody. Ellen Page stars as the title character, an independent-minded teenager confronting an unplanned pregnancy and the subsequent events that put pressures of adult life onto her.
While Juno isn’t your typical teen movie (the genre only has comedies), it’s definitely worth watching. It has a lot of humor in it but also tackles big issues like teenage pregnancy.

It was the first major release by Miramax Films since Who’s That Girl (1987). She’s the Man isn’t your typical teen comedy; it deals with gender roles, homosexuality and is focused more on drama than humor (BUT DON’T WORRY there are still some very funny parts in the movie). If you like this genre, then this movie is definitely worth watching – I promise you won’t be disappointed!

It is adapted from the 1987 book Senior Year but had been originally conceived as an unrelated script called 17 Again about a 35-year old man who reverts to his teenage body and has to relive his high school life.
It’s pretty much like Big (the 1988 film) with some teen comedy elements thrown in the mix. If you like this kind of genre, then I definitely think 17 Again is worth watching! It might not be one of the best teen comedies out there, but it’s still very enjoyable and funny 🙂
